I've been building my own 2.5 axis CNC milling (more routing) machine for a while (it's pretty much complete; just 100km away from where I live and work, so it needs moving).The parts have cost me probably - but that's only because I'm building a car, so I don't need accuracy: I need size. So mine can mill around xx100mm in size, and has a theoretical accuracy of 0.mm (although for my needs, 1mm would've been good enough).
