Biaxial Geogrids

terrafix® Biaxial Geogrids provide a simple, cost effective solution for soil reinforcement. Improve roadways, highways and other heavily trafficked areas with terrafix® Biaxial Geogrids.

You can find more information on our web, so please take a look.

Even when conditions are less than perfect, including: weak subgrades, contaminated soils, heavy loads, high granular costs and shallow-buried utilities, an engineered solution is possible.

terrafix® Biaxial Geogrids provide structural reinforcement of roads and parking areas through excellent stiffness and interlock capabilities.

terrafix® Biaxial Geogrids interlock with aggregate particles creating an enhanced composite material with higher performance characteristics. The profile shape and thickness of the structural ribs contribute to superior confinement and stabilization of the reinforced layer.

Biaxial Geogrid - Strata Geosystems

A biaxial geogrid is a geosynthetic material designed with soil reinforcement in two orthogonal directions: longitudinal and transverse. This has a high tensile strength in both axes, and its versatility is therefore suitable for many applications in civil engineering. Such geogrids are manufactured using materials such as polypropylene, polyester, or HDPE, thus providing durability and performance for any project requirements.

High-molecular-weight polyester (PET) yarns biaxial geogrids are produced at Strata Global, which are knitted with care and coated with a proprietary formulation. Such construction provides excellent tensile strength, resistance to environmental conditions, and better load distribution. By increasing the modulus values of base layers, biaxial geogrids reduce the requirement for excess fill material, saving costs and providing for more efficient construction processes.
